There are only eleven known designs for this series illustrating famous bridges. The Kintai-bashi, or 'Bridge of the Brocade Sash,' spanning the Iwakuni River, was considered one of Japan's most unusual bridges. The castle on the opposite bank is that of the daimyo of Yoshikawa. |
