a muscular dragon coils its body against a decorative standing screen as if it is emerging from the painting, flames flicker up against its scaly body as it raises its head, snarling fiercely and displaying its reticulated neck, the lustrous ivory is carved in meticulous detail and enhanced with a warm golden stain, a vertical bracket across the backside of the screen provides an elegant way for the knot of the silk cord to be contained within the carving, signed on the bracket, Anraku
