sumi ink on paper drawing illlustrating a near final version of the design; the woodblock print signed on the right sheet Yoshu Chikanobu, dated within publisher Fukuda Hatsujiro's double-fish seal, Meiji nijuhachinen sangatsu futsuka insatsu (printed in Meiji 28  March 2nd), Donen sangatsu itsuka hakko (published in the same year March 5th), Hakkosha Fukuda Hatsujiro, and his seal, Ningyo-cho dori gusokuya han, with block carver's seal, tsugeto (Tsuge Yoshinobu), ca. 1895
