In contrast to the striking black and white lines of the tattooed version of this design, Hiroshige's Edo (Hiroshige no Edo), which is the last in his A Hundred Shades of Ink of Edo (Edozumi Hyaku Shoku) series, this composition places the nude against a soft pink and lavender background. She holds a green cloth, whose flower buds are printed in silver metallic pigment and 23 carat gold leaf, and her hair is printed in black lacquer.
