Scottish, b. 1967
a jigsaw print with additional color blocks; signed in kanji at upper left corner, Bin-ni, followed by red artist's seal, Binnie, the print title in hiragana, Matsutoki, in upper left margin, numbered and signed in pencil, 16/30, Paul Binnie, Jan 2009
chuban yoko-e 10 1/2 by 13 1/4 in., 26.7 by 33.7 cm
While Binnie is typically quite forthcoming regarding technical details pertaining to the production of his prints, he often declines to elaborate on a subject beyond the title. True to form, Binnie has left interpretation of the subject, apparently a play on words, to the viewer.
