Famous Views of Japan: Fuji from Lake Kawaguchi, Red Fuji
(Nihon meisho zu-e: Kawaguchi-ko no fujisan, aka fuji)

the rippling waves in the foreground highlighted with mica; the title, Kawaguchi-ko no fujisan, aka fuji, along the left margin, signed in kanji at lower right, Bin-ni with artist's red seal BINNIE, numbered and signed in pencil on bottom margin, 58/100, Paul Binnie, and with embossed seal BINNIE at center, 2002

dai oban tate-e 16 3/4 by 11 5/8 in., 42.5 by 29.6 cm

This print was one of Binnie's early forays into landscape subjects--which was very well received indeed. The edition of one hundred impressions sold out long before this gallery began representing his work in 2007. As such, the only impressions we have been able to offer are acquired directly from his early collectors.
