snowy view the temple and an over-hanging pine at the water's edge; signed Hasui with artist's seal Kawase, the publisher (Hotei 'E') seal at lower left margin, Hanken shoyu fukyo mosha Watanabe Sh˘zabur˘ (copyright ownership Watanabe Sh˘zabur˘), the title, Matsushima Godido no yuki, on the upper right margin, and dated below, Sh˘wa nananen jűnigatsu saku (made in Sh˘wa 7 [1932], December)

There is a darker variant of this print which is illustrated in both Narazaki and Brown, who records that Narazaki preferred this lighter version (unillustrated in both publications).
